Mushroom Production Training

This training will discuss about growing Oyster Mushroom (Pleurotus Ostreatus) variety which is commonly known in Visayas and Mindanao as “Uhong” and Tagalogs called them “Kabute.” The demand of mushrooms both in the urban and rural areas is growing because of people’s preference of eating food which is pesticide-free.

 

The potential of oyster mushroom culture is high not only because of health benefits and nutritional values but as well as the availability of indigenous raw materials, small area requirement for growing, less capital needed for investment and potential profits.
 

Enrolling individuals will make them one of the successful mushroom entrepreneurs in the country!

Fertilizers

After the mushroom bags are harvested on a few occasions, they can then be used as fertilizers. Using of spent substrate for vermiculture and soil preparation.
